Hey There,

we use cards as "objects" and the checklists as "todo"-lists.

Sometimes there are many todos on our lists and consider a stack-like working.

As example:

Checklist: New Article in the Webshop:

Item 1: Set the Name and the Description (Member 1)

Item2: Set the Price and the Discount (Member 2)

Item 3: Upload Pictures (Member 3)

Item 4: Upload the article (Member 1)

Item 5: check the article (Member 2)

Item 6: Set the article "active" (Member 1)

As you see, each item in this case, can only be done when the previous item and of course the member whos job it is has finished their work.

Is there any chance to visualize this as a gantt-like workflow?

The Problem here is:

Member 1, 2 and 3 are listed on the card and often "dont know" whose in charge to do something that the work can go on. With this gantt-like view it would be easy to see whose in charge with their task.

Greetings

Manuel

@Manuel Ritter

I have yet to come across a power up that will show the checklist in a gnatt format and enforce the dependencies such that work on a downstream can proceed only when an upstream work is marked completed.

The option available to assign work from the checklist when a preceding task is completed. There are different ways to do this depending on how what to assign individuals to the task and due dates. I am not suggesting that this will can be fully automated. It depends on how decisions can be made.

I did a poc for a law firm using custom fields and http request for a semi automated task assignment.

I can only 2nd this vew, none of the Gantt chart pups I've checked show checklists, let alone use those as the tasks in the chart rather than the cards.

Hi @Manuel Ritter 👋

Welcome to the Community! Projects by Placker is probably one of the most commonly used Power Ups that offer the ability to see boards in Gantt Chart style.

Similarly, if you wanting to increase ownership to tasks in the checklist you can set each individual task a user and a due date, illustrated below...

I hope this helps but if you have any other questions just ask away 😃

All the best,

Laura
