Hi,

If your main purpose is to open your Trello board to the external user so you can collect feature requests, support requests, orders, etc, then you can use Hipporello for this purpose.

Hipporello enables your external users and customers to create cards on your board externally. You can use Hipporello automation rules to automatically send an email when the card created, or send a resolved email when the card is archived, etc.

- You can embed hipporello forms to any static website easily

your customers can submit their requests through service desk portal

- they can directly send an email to Hipporello's email-to-board address and Hipporello creates a card

- You can forward messages received from your sales@, jobs@ to Hipporello's email-to-board address and Hipporello creates a Trello card

Basically, Hipporello connects your customers and employees to your support, IT & business teams by creating Trello cards via online forms and inbound emails. It turns your board into an easy to use service desk

Hi,

You can visit our website and see our how-to video there. We are preparing our support documents but it is very very easy to use Hipporello. We can arrange a time for a quick demo too. with 3 easy steps (1. add Hipporello to board. 2. Authorize hipporello 3. Define service desk portal name and domain), it will set up your service desk with some sample ready to use forms. You can try it and come back to modify forms according to your needs.

You can use our email to board feature to create Trello card for each received email message too.

Regarding security, we are on Amazon Web Services and it is a fully secure infrastructure. We try to apply the best practices to keep security top.

Hi @Cleopatra Ernest ,

Welcome to the community!
Just change the permission of your clients so that they could only view the progress. Follow the below steps!

Adding observers to boards

Teams that subscribe to Trello Business Class can add "Observers" to boards within their team. Observers are board members that are able to view a board and the cards within the board, download card attachments, comment and vote on cards if that is enabled for the board, and export the board.

Observers are not able to move or edit cards, upload card attachments and Observers can't change board settings.

Because an Observer is a board member permission and not a membership type, a Business Class board admin can set both team members and Guests as an Observer on a board. There are no limits to how many Observers you can have on a board, and an Observer can be a billable team member or Multi-Board Guest or a non-billable Single-Board Guest. To understand if an Observer is billable, check out the page How Billing Works with Trello Business Class

Add an observer

To add someone to your board as an Observer, click "Invite" from the top of the board. Enter the member's username or email address. When you choose the person to add, the default choice is to add them as regular board members, but you can click on the down arrow to change that to "Add as Observers."

Change a member's permissions to Observer

To change a current board member's permissions to Observer, click their avatar from the Members section of the board menu, select "Change Permissions" and select "Observer". Please note that only team admins and board admins can change a board member's permissions.

Change a board member's permissions to Observer.

@Cleopatra Ernest Yep, anyone can interact with a board when you've added them as a member. There's no restriction on the number of personal boards you can have on the free plan, and no restriction on the number of members you can invite to these boards.
