I have tried to create a few automations where it will copy a card and then link them together. However, every method I have tried doesn't seem to be linking them or copying it from what I can see. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or what else I can try?

Syncing/linking cards is not provided as a native capability in Trello. However, Unito, a 3rd party PowerUp offers that - https://unito.io/mirror/
