We document our meetings in Confluence and there are inevitably tasks to be done afterwards. Right now I manually copy-and-paste the tasks into Trello but does anyone know of a more automated method?

Yes, you can highlight the task and create a Jira issue based on it, as it says in this blog:

Just highlight any text on a Confluence page, click the JSW icon that will appear above the highlight, and you’re on your way.
