I need a very simple board that will automatically move tasks on a week by week basis.
I need one list that says 'this week'
The next to say 'next week'
And a final list that just says 'upcoming'.
I then need to add a due date to each task, and trello to move them automatically to allow me to see a list of tasks due 'this week', another list for 'next week' and then leave the 'upcoming' list as a general overview of tasks that need to be complete later than that.
I have found the rules section, but can't seem to make a rule that will allow for this, as tasks move when they are due in exactly 7 days. I need the whole week view.

If I'm getting the gist of it, you want specific changes based on how many days until the card is due, correct?
If so, the rules section isn't the one you're looking for. On that same Automation window, you should go to the due date automation section. Here:
You can setup specific triggers and actions based on how long until a date is due on a card, which sounds it's what you want to do!
