Editing a card

What is the trick to getting a card to open so I can add attachments and more information?  Double click - nothing.  Right click - a few options but not the editing I'm looking for.  I'm getting frustrated!

Left click (or even Double click) should normally work.. Anywhere on the card except for the pencil or the labels, just anywhere white should work. Not sure what's happening there..
