Emails to Trello stopped working after implementing Mimecast?

We implemented mimecast a couple weeks ago (it's terrible don't use it) and ever since then our users have been unable to 'email to board' for their Trello boards.

I really want to blame mimecast but Trello is the one sending the kickback email insisting that the email address they used is invalid. Anyone have experience with this?

Hey @sean_juroviesky, a few questions for you:

  1. if you try emailing the email-to-board (e2b) address from any other email outside of your domain (personal gmail, etc.), do you get an invalid kickback email or does it go through successfully?
  2. compare the e2b address from your board exactly with the one printed in the kickback email that you receive from your domain using mimecast—is the e2b address identical? Any change, like a missing character, will invalidate the email
  3. It sounds like this didn't happen before mimecast was implemented, is that right?

Hi @Artemis

The address I send to is identical to the one Trello says to use, but the kickback only says  user.name@boards.trello.com not user.name+123abc@trello.com

However if I email my personal email and type email+1234abc@gmail.com it goes through without issue.
