Error message

mauro_george August 1, 2025

Hi all,

I've been using Trello for a couple of years now...very helpful with writing charts for the other musicians in my group.

However, recently I've been getting this error message and cannot call up any of the charts or .mp3s which have always worked in the past...very odd.  Does anyone know what this means?  Thanks

Error: Promise.withResolvers is not a function

and then a whole lot of numbers, letters, .js (java script?)

I'm using a 2015 MacBook Pro w/ Firefox running OS Sierra 10.12.6, if that helps

cheers

Hey @mauro_george

Unfortunately, macOS 10.12 Sierra is now too old to run the latest browsers that Trello expects.
Trello's frontend now uses newer JavaScript syntax that older browser engines can’t interpret, and I believe this may be the reason for the issues you are experiencing.

Try updating Firefox to the latest version possible for your OS. Alternatively, try a different browser like Brave or Vivaldi that might work better on older Macs. If this doesn't work, maybe try using Trello on a mobile device.
