We are looking at using trello. We do field work in the appalachian mountains so cell signal is not always available.
Questions:
If they have the app on the their phone and no signal, will they be able to see existing (obviously not newly added) items.
Can they add cards that will upload when they do get signal?
Anything else we should know?
Thanks!
We run a company that does well water testing, well inspections, septic inspections, septic pumping, etc and I'm experimenting with trello as a way to track jobs - tasks, details, status (prepping, scheduled...), etc
So far those of us playing around with it like it and we were curious about providing access to the field guys so they could have all those details without us double entering it on google calendar or whatever :)
I am guessing you are using Android. While both iOS and Android support offline mode, Android even has a way to say "Make sure this board is always available offline".
Out of curiosity, if you are using Trello for something interesting, I'd love to know what it is....

If there is no signal and they have the board available offline, can they add a card or a comment to a card to sync back when they have signal
for instance a card for a job at 123 Main St, Anytown
They get out there and the septic is under the driveway - can they add a note to the card so we know why they kicked the job?

Yes. You can try it out by turning on Airplane Mode on your phone.
