How can I automate access to a Trello board without making it public?

I would like to create a template that I can include in a program I sell without having to manually 'Invite' people to the board and then manually remove them.

I do not want it to be accessible to the public because it will have a lot of my course information on it.

Hi @Aaron Jennings - the only way I can think of doing this would be via generating a unique board invite URL and directing your students to this link. However, they could then easily share this link with others who can then join the board, so you'd still have to monitor membership on your side.

Hello @Alex W - I'm in a similar boat.  I'm creating video courses in our Learndash LMS (Learning Management System), and as part of the course I wish to offer students access to the course material which will all be organized into multiple Trello boards.  My goal here is to have the students create a copy of the Trello boards for themselves without being able to in any way change the original board material (which will be shared and available to all registered course users).  This way students can then change and add to their own Trello copy of the course material as they go through the video course.  Is there a way to generate this unique board invite URL you mentioned and have it so the new user can copy our board to their own Trello account without being able to make any changes to the original template?

Also, we would only like to allow access to the template board (via the invite link) to people that have registered for the video course in Learndash.  In order to have this happen automatically, would an app like Zapier be able to take that new users email address and throw it into Trello to allow access to our template boards?  I think I can see an "Enrolled Into A Course" trigger for Learndash, but the only Trello action I see in the list Zapier provides is "Add members To Card".  Is there a way to allow a user access to a whole board (or multiple boards), or does it need to be done on a card by card basis?  Here's the Zapier link:  https://zapier.com/apps/learndash/integrations/trello

Thank you!
