How can I have date completed on a card without first having a due date?

I have a list of things that have no due date, such as a list of books to read. I want to be able to see when that card was completed (perhaps on a done list). I don't have due dates or a particular order for finishing the books.

Hi @Connie Willis

The change that occurred this year with card complete checkbox has disconnected card completion from the due date, which opens up the possibility to complete cards with and without due dates, which is a definite improvement.

There are 2 options that can work for you?

  1. Filter by cards complete or not complete (top tip, hit the F key from anywhere on the board to bring up the filter list)

  2. Create an automation so that when you check a card as complete, it moves it to a Done list:

My description didn't reflect part of my question. I want to have the "date completed" to be shown, even though there is no due date. Is that possible?
