How do I change the Google SSO account linked to my existing Trello (Atlassian) account?

Hello Atlassian Community,

I need to update the Google account that I use to sign in to my existing Trello account—but I don’t want to lose any of my boards, comments, or activity history.

• My original Google SSO login was my@company.com.

• Our Workspace structure changed, and now the underlying Workspace for that address has been moved to save-company.com, then back to company.com.

• Trello still recognizes only the old Workspace account and won’t let me unlink or relink to the new one.

• I have tried looking in Security, Login methods, Connected apps, and Authorized apps but cannot find any option to remove or replace my Google login. There simply is no page or button to do this.

My goal:

• Keep my existing Trello account (with all boards, comments, change history intact).

• Unlink the old Google SSO (my@company.com / backup-company.com) and link the new Google SSO (my@save-company.com → my@company.com) without creating a second Trello account or losing history.

Has anyone successfully changed their linked Google account on Trello/Atlassian without deleting their account or losing data? Where exactly is the “unlink Google” or “change Google login” option, and what steps are required?

Hi there!  Welcome to Trello community!

To change the email of your Atlassian account you can go to this page: https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/email

Enter with your new email address and save changes.  Then check the inbox of the new email address to find the verification message and select Verify your email and follow the instructions to complete the update.

Hi there,

I’m currently facing an issue with Google SSO on my Trello account.

Originally, my Trello account was connected via Google SSO using the email my@company.com, which belonged to an older Google Workspace account. That Google account has since been renamed to my@backup-company.com.

Now, we’ve created a new Google Workspace, and I’ve been assigned my@company.com again under this new workspace. However, when I try to log into Trello using Google SSO with this new my@company.com, a new Trello account was created—which I’m now in the process of deleting (scheduled for deletion by June 2).

What I need is to reconnect my original Trello account (currently linked to the old Google account my@backup-company.com) to the new Google SSO account at my@company.com.

Could you please assist in transferring the SSO login or updating the associated Google account for my original Trello profile?
