How does one download .pages files as attachments ?

I have Trello Gold so file size is not an issue, anyway these text files are small and do not exceed 500KB. I have tried dragging and dropping and also using the Add an Attachment button. Neither method works. Can anyone tell me why .pages files are not attaching?

Have you tried adding an attachment using a different browser or Incognito mode if using Chrome?

Hi Danny,

I use Apple OSX so was trying to download via Finder and not a browser. I did finally manage by converting the files to pdf. 

The strange thing is that some pages files download okay and others do not, even though they are all smallish text files.
