How to set working days

Shlomit Yzhaki January 10, 2023

I want to use the automatic to give a rule that says when I put a start date it will put an end date in 50 days but I want it to take into account only working days without weekends and holidays is this possible?

Hi @Shlomit Yzhaki

It's possible to add business days in a Butler rule (i.e exclude weekends).

So for example the rule might be:

  • Trigger:
    • Type = Dates
    • Logic = when a start date is set on a card
  • Action:
    • set due date in 50 working days

To set it to "in 50 working days", click now/the calendar icon which is the default when setting up the rule, the additional option is in there.

Hi, I know how to do that, but how do I define to him what my working days are? And what are my holidays so that he doesn't count them

Hi @Shlomit Yzhaki

Unfortunately, I don't believe that is possible to do natively!

Hi @Shlomit Yzhaki

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a Power Up that could do this either.

The only other reference I could find to this need was on this question, which you've also posted on. The recommendation is to use the "Trellinator" for something similar to this.

You can learn how that works from this article. Perhaps this can help you get what you need!
