I have 2 custom field, 1 is Hours and another is FTE. FTE = hours/8

I have 2 custom field, 1 is Hours and another is FTE. FTE = hours/8

User will enter number of hours in one field

the FTE is automatically calculated the FTE by dividing by 8

You could use Amazing Fields and setup a formula to calculate it and fill it in.
