Insert Trello Card Link Missing In New Editor

What is the status on the "Insert Trello Link" button being included in the new editor?  I had been working in the old editor due to this still not being implemented as a function in the new editor.  The old editor's Insert Link function allow for searching and inserting card links across all boards in the workspace.  This is no longer the case.  The Insert/Edit Link function somewhat worked in the New Editor, but it has recently no longer allowed for searches of Trello card.  It also does not allow for code functions like "board:boardname search name" which I use very frequently for specific card searches.  Thanks everyone!

I was unable to find any information regarding this being something worked on at the moment. 

I tried so many workarounds. The best I could find in a browser environment was to search the card in the search bar (you can focus it by pressing "/" when not in the card itself) and right clicking on the correct item in the search and selecting "copy link address". Now, you can paste the link into the card description.

Even the "Attachment" interface doesn't seem to support those types of search queries. Only the search bar at the top. That being said, the moment I tried "board:test" (where test is the name of the board), I actually got an error message instead of no results found, which is odd.
