I'd like to try using Trello in free mode.
I downloaded and installed the product, but I see it's in "premium" mode with a 15-day trial.
I'd like to try it in "free" mode instead so I can test it out over a longer period of time.
I'm almost certain that after trying it, I'd upgrade to the "premium" product, but I want to take my time, and 15 days isn't enough. I don't want to have to pay for a trial. I'm trying to start a startup and need to keep costs down initially.
I'm therefore asking if there's any documentation for starting to use Trello, not in "premium" mode with a 15-day evaluation period, but completely free, with the limitations associated with the free product.
I hope I've explained my concerns and that I'll receive the appropriate information on how to activate the product in "free" mode.
Otherwise, I'd be forced to upgrade to another project management product.
I consider Trello the best product for this problem, and I'd love to use it.
I await your kind reply.
I'll leave you my email address for a possible response.

I don't think there is that option but I've seen it asked here before; Atlassian prefers you to get the taste of the premium goods of course.
I just tell people to maybe find your way a bit, but mostly wait two weeks to fully implement what you think you need. Then see if that works for you, or if you've spotted features you think you would definitely find essential--then check if Standard or Premium are the better options.
Trello is pretty extensive and flexible out of the box and it really depends on your intentions.
Mind you: I don't know how the trial works exactly, and whether you'd be automatically extending your Premium and paid plan unless you explicitly agree, so watch out for that.
PS A tip: don"t expose your email on a public forum; we can reply and you'll get notified, Team can track your Atlassian account if they need to.
Hi Nils Geylen,
Thank you for your kind reply.
It didn't explain to me how to operate Trello by setting it as the Basic option. I'll try to create my first sample dashboard, trying to record the operational features I need to create in my project.
I'm happy to accept the opportunity the team is giving me to monitor my progress.
I haven't added any credit cards yet, so I think it can work in Basic mode.
If you can verify that it doesn't switch from Basic to Premium, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks to the entire team for their attention to my little problem.
Good luck, everyone.
Nice to meet you.
Bye
Moreno

If you can verify that it doesn't switch from Basic to Premium...
It's been thirteen years since I signed up, and ten since we moved to Business (as it was called back then) so I honestly can't remember how the process played out.
I didn't know you could skip the credit card, so that's a good sign.
Don't accept my responses here as solving the question yet; maybe someone else will have more to say.
Good luck!
