Is there a way to copy a card as a shortcut or have a 'parent card'?

We keep track of our projects by each project manager having their own list. For example, the list 'Peter's Projects' have the cards of his current projects. On bigger projects we will have multiple people working on the same project. It would be great if we could have one card on the lead manager's list and then duplicate as a shortcut on the other team members' lists. This would allow all edits made to the cards on each individual's list to show up on all the other 'shortcut' cards and allow information to be more easily conveyed and not lose anything. Is this an option, can it become an option, or are there any workarounds to achieve something similar?

@Jason Crum this is what my product BenkoBoard does:

http://www.benkoboard.com/

except that each person has their own board so any card they're added to anywhere in Trello creates a linked card in their Inbox list.

It also connects Trello as a Gmail client, but you can disable the automated import and still manage your emails in Gmail if you like.

Unfortunately right now you can only use it with a Gmail account.
