Is there a way to save the open trello boards to reopen at startup

John Epeneter September 15, 2019

I restart my Macbook Pro once a week or so. When I do so, Trello restarts (because it was running when I rebooted) but only one window/board comes up.  Since I use three boards every day, I have to manually open a new window (shift-command-N) and then switch over from the default board to the one I want. It would be nice if Trello Desktop remembered what boards I have open and then reopen them when I restart.

I don't know about this in the desktop app, but you can do this in your browser. I use chrome and whenever I restart my computer it asks if I want to restore my tabs, so it will re-open all my boards that i have up.

Also, i recently started using a chrome extension called Workona that lets you create "workspaces" of tabs. So I can have a group of tabs for my work that even when i leave and open other tabs, I can revert back to that workspace and open all the tabs in there.

This is a great suggestion if you use a browser for Trello.  I could switch back from Trello Desktop to Chrome and use something like Workona (I use Toby for Chrome) but I kinda like the desktop version and was hoping this could be a feature.

Yeah definitely a great idea for a feature request, but hopefully Toby can be a workaround in the meantime!

I hope this feature is on the Trello roadmap soon, as it is an expected norm now for most software apps
