Did you mean:

Lookup every card which matches a word in the description of a trigger card.

Hey, I'm working with Butler automation on Trello and am wondering if something like this is possible to make:

Say I have 2 lists, one of employees, and the other of company events. If I create a card in the company events list and set the description to be something along the lines of "John, Jack, Jean" would it then be possible to associate each name I just listed to the three corresponding cards in the employees list?

I'm able to do something similar to this, but instead of indexing every word in the description of the trigger card, it only looks for cards that match the entirety of it; so in this instance it would look for a card titled "John, Jack, Jean" rather than "John" "Jack" and "Jean" individually.

Hi @Vasquez

Nathan here from Trello Support!

Currently, Butler doesn't support conditional statements which is what you'd need to set this up under one rule.

I'd recommend setting up a different rule for each name you'd add in the description using the "When the description of a card contains..." trigger, this way you should be able to get the same functionality.

You can find this trigger under the Card Content tab, in the top trigger in this tab you'll just need to click on "the name" and change it to "the description", and then click on "starts with" and change it to "contains".
