Hello,
I am working on creating templates in Trello that I can share with customers/use as a low offer. I am just wondering the following: when I copy one of the boards to another workspace within my account, it does not include the background of the board. The background picture changes in a picture of a snowboarder and i have no idea why this happens because i never choose this background.
How can i make sure that the background of my bord is retained when i copy or share the board?
I use the backgrounds from "Unsplash" and I thought they were all free to use. I have a free account so i can use them and these backgrounds are also shareable right?
I hope you can solve the problem so I can continue my offer.
Greetings, Marion
Hmm.. I just checked on my Trello site - I have couple of existing Boards that I copy to different workspace and background is the same..
Is this background that you use still available? I mean even if you copy the board you can still find it and apply manually?
Hi Mirek,
Thanks for you answer. I already know that it is not normal that the background changes but in my account/case is does. And it always changes in the same background, one i never choose.
I have 10 boards an al the board have a different background and in all 10 boards the background changes when i copy it. And i can find the background i use in Unsplash so it also has nothing to do with the background not being available anymore.
It really seems like a bug or something. For now i have made 10 Trello board wich i cant use because of this problem. So i really hope someone can help me out.

So we have to check either is some problem with the account (settings) or actually a application / browser problem...
Are you able to check on a different browser, on incognito mode or whatever that would be different than you are using now? Maybe you can check also desktop version?
By the way which system / browser are you actually using? If this is a specific bug we should have to reproduce it somehow.
If there would be still problem could you check on a different network and later also make a brand new user that would be able to copy those boards and check then what is going on?
Having this all checked I think we might be able to focus on where the problem actually live..

Thank you for your response @Mirek.
I have tested several things.
My current browser is Microsoft Edge. As an alternative I have now tested in the Google Chrome browser but then the background also changes to the snowboarder I am now familiar with 😉.
I have also created a 2nd account and tested what happens when I share a link of the boards with that account. But then too, after copying the board I get the background of the snowboarder and not the original background that I chose for the board myself.
What I did notice is the following. I have 10 boards in my Workspace “Trello templates”. When I forward the links to the boards to my new test-account, the same thing happens with 9 out of 10 boards: as soon as I click on copy the board and Trello saves the board in another Workspace, the background with the snowboarder appears (which is not the image that I added as a background to the board myself). Except for 1 board. And this is the board that I copied earlier from another Workspace. Here the correct background is included and it stays as it should be. I created all the other 9 boards in the Workspace “Trello templates”.
It looks like the background with the snowboarder is set as default or something? Could that be?

To be honest I am not aware of any "snowboarder" background used by default..
When I search for it I get many results not sure which one is the one that you are seeing
Are you able to share which image is it or or maybe record step by step what you are seeing?
