Hello

Im investigating if we can Use Trello to manage business tasks so far I have run into these issues that could be to do with my lack of knowledge on how the product works.:

1. Repeating Tasks.  -  We want to repeat tasks,  Daily Weekly, Bi Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually.    -  I have added the repeating Power-up but the options seem limited.

2.  When tasks on lists are completed is there a way to automated their removal to completed boards.

3.  Concern is if we have the Repeating Automation creating these tasks - the boards will get clogged up very quickly.

4.  How best do you manage assign a repeating task to a person.   Multiple Lists or one list with checklists in side.

Hey Simon,

I presume you are trying out the Card Repeater Power-Up?

Since you are looking for some more robust controls for automation, I'd suggest the Butler Power-Up instead.

  1. You can schedule tasks to repeat at preset intervals. Screen Shot 2018-10-17 at 9.24.18 AM.png
  2. You can set conditions to move/archive cards when they are considered completed.Screen Shot 2018-10-17 at 9.30.22 AM.png
  3. You can add a button on the board to create a card manually rather than at a set interval to avoid filling up a board too quickly.Screen Shot 2018-10-17 at 9.35.30 AM.png
  4. You can see in these screenshots some of the commands are set to add me as a member of the card. This would be my suggestion for keeping track of members who are assigned to recurring tasks.

Please keep in mind these are just some quick examples of the commands. When creating them, you will see there are a lot more options available.

Butler also has their own help docs and guides for their commands here: https://help.butlerfortrello.com/ You can also find Butler's own board with example commands here: https://trello.com/b/2dLsEE9t/butler-for-trello

Let us know if something like this would work for you and your team, or if you have any additional questions or concerns!

Thanks!
