I recently had two Atlassian accounts, each on a free plan.
My main account (where all trello boards are stored in) is attached to my University email account, and I've used it for a couple of years.
My second account was created a long time ago but has no documents created in it and I don't use it.
I want to change the email address on my main account from my student email to the email that was attached to my second Atlassian account. I initially attempted to do this without remember I had created the second account, so my first request was denied. As a result, two weeks ago I deleted that second Atlassian account that had been associated with my personal email.
I am now attempting to change my student email address to my personal email address on my main Atlassian account, but I appear to be blocked from doing this.
Firstly, I am receiving emails to my student email address advising me "We've noticed you've recently changed the email for your Atlassian account. To confirm the change, please check <link to personal email address> to verify this address and complete updating your account.
However when I check my personal email address and the junk folder attached with it, I can confirm I am not receiving any email in my personal email address by which I can confirm the change.
Secondly, When attempting to request Contact Support on their chat service, I am asked this question: "What is the site URL of your product within your organization?"
I don't have an organisation, I am a student. I log onto my Trello boards (which is the only Atlassian product I use) via the Trello website, and the URL associated with my boards is in the form: https://trello.com/u/<a version of my name>/boards. But the chat service expects the url to be in the form: <mysitename>.atlassian.net, so I receive the error message: "Sorry we can't find this Cloud URL".
When I attempt to input <a version of my name>.atlassian.net to be consistent with the hint given, I receive the same error.
How do I request help in this circumstance where the chat bot can't recognise who I am? And how do I change my email address to one that I have previously used in a deleted account? I still have access to both of my email addresses, so if I could only receive the link to verify the change is requested, I hope that will solve my problem.
The difficulty I am experiencing in attempting to move away from using a uni email address is concerning. What happens when I finish my studies?
