Fast forward 4 years and we abandoned Trello. It never lived up to the hype and was always too limiting and way too click intensive. Candidly, I never saw the app meaningfully improve over time. So many apps do that. They address an innovative idea or a market need and then stagnate.
Archiving a card can be done with one keystroke and is a much more common action than deleting. Even with four clicks we get many emails a month asking for us to restore deleted info (we cant).

The power up by Adaptavist to display the hidden delete button is $10 per board per year. That someone was irritated enough to make a power up and that they have a market to sell this single feature is pretty telling.
Why not have a optional setting to enable display of the hidden delete button? You can bury the setting 20 clicks deep and only allow it to be enabled if the user signs a waiver.
BTW: I say "hidden" because the button displays in the Actions list when the card is archived so the function exists, it's just not shown.

Hey @Edward Imbier
This power up should help make it faster for you.

Hope that helps,
