Automation adds new card based on addition to checklist, can I automate adding the card member?

Hello,

I saw a video on YouTube regarding automating adding a card when doing a checklist item from a certain checklist. The card is then linked back to the original card using automation. And when the child card is checked off complete it checks off the card in the parent card check list. 

I was able to replicate the behaviour in my board. I would like to go one step further and automate adding the assigned person and set due date to the new child card that is created from check list date, in the workflow above. 

Is this possible? I spend sometime poking around but I am unable to figure it out, probably a skill issue on my part. Tips are much appreciated.

I'm afraid automation currently doesn't allow us to set those details from the checklist item to the card.

We have a feature suggestion for syncing the dates which you can vote on here: TRELLO-579

It may be possible to achieve this with API, so if you’re interested in customization, we have Solution Partners who can help! You can browse the Atlassian Partner Directory, where you can filter by Trello and your location.
