Hi,

I would like to block the option "Add a card" to keep only the option "Create from template...".

I still want the board members to be able to create cards, it's the purpose of the board, but only from a template.

Let me know if you have an idea or suggestion.

Thank you.

You can't do this but you could make a rule to remove cards made in error with "Add a card"

When you are creating from template, you are essentially copying a card.  So the rule to archive any not created from template would be:

When a card is created in the board, archive the card

Might look in to browser extensions that essentially edit the page css?

I used to use one to make custom fields take up the width of the card, but only on a specific board. Basically by telling it to detect a specific line of css, and replace it with something different.

Alas the extension I used stopped working, so you'll have to look in to it yourself if you want to explore that. With the regular warning about 3rd party extensions and privacy concerns.

Also, this doesn't actually stop them from Adding a Card, just makes it a little bit more tedious / removes the easiest way. It also requires them to buy-in by adding the browser extension, adding the script, etc. They can still get around it, is what I'm saying. Also, somewhat unfeasible a solution for a board with many members, clients, or public boards.
