Can I setup notifications somewhere in Trello?

If I add a card in Trello and assign it to someone, I would like them to receive an email notification that they have been assigned to the card.

Hi Liz, absolutely! This is the default behavior in Trello, however it requires that each individual user has their email notification settings configured to receive notifications Instantly.

As long as you add them as a Member of the card, and they have their email notifications set that way, they'll get an email.

The good news is that's the default setting as well, though there wouldn't be a way to override that setting and send an email anyway if someone were to change their personal setting to Periodically (once per hour) or Never.
