Feature Name:
Private Timelines – Admin-Controlled Card Scheduling

Description:
I'd like to suggest a feature that allows only the board admin to set and view timelines (or due dates) on Trello cards. These timelines would be:

  • Invisible to managers and team members, helping prevent undue pressure.

  • Trackable by managers, in the sense that progress and activity are visible—but not the specific internal deadlines.

  • Editable/viewable only by the admin, to ensure that scheduling remains strategic and controlled.

Purpose & Benefits:

  1. Transparent workflow without deadline anxiety – Helps reduce performance pressure among colleagues by not showing hard deadlines publicly.

  2. Efficient project pacing – Admin can keep projects on schedule privately while monitoring team progress.

  3. Clean team communication – Keeps the focus on task quality over time stress.

Hi Atharva! Welcome to the community!

Thanks for sharing the details of your suggestion. Trello doesn't have this feature for now, but I have added this post as an internal comment to a similar feature suggestion that you can check here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-98

As an alternative, you can check the Power-up gallery and see if one of the 3rd party Power-ups may help cover what you need. Here's the link: https://trello.com/power-ups/search?q=timeline

Hope that helps!
