Hi all.

I use to be able to go to the boards view where "Starred Boards" are the first to appear and drag/re-arrange the starred boards to my choosing. Usually I make a board a starred board (so it appears in the "Starred board" area) and then drag it to the top / first position, so I see it first when in this view.

For a few months now the ability to click and drag a board to the top has disappeared.

I have tried different browsers to see if its browser related and have searched the communities but not resolved this.

Do we know if this functionality has been dropped or whether this is a bug introduced? Or is this something specific to me, as others can drag and rearrange their boards still?

Many thanks.

This feature was recently removed—however, you can still reorder these boards from either the "Starred" menu at the top of Trello or from the sidebar menu when you have a board open, and the changes you make there will be reflected on the home page as well.

Amazing. Thank you. I was not aware of the "Starred" menu. :)

Problem solved :)

I just wanted to put in an update here because the new Beta that Trello is rolling out doesn't have the Starred Menu at the top of individual Boards.

If you want to reorder your Starred Boards now, click the "Change Boards" button at the bottom of your individual Board. You can drag and drop the Starred Boards in that menu into any order you like.

Aha. But, so it seems at this point, you have to have "All" selected at the top. I had a workspace selected and it wouldn't work.

I'm now switching between regular and beta to get things to work or find out if they're still around.

I'm having the same problem, but unable to follow anyone's instructions that you've shared above. I use this to keep track of my students' work, but I want their boards organized in a particular order when I open the Boards page. But now whether they are starred or not, I don't seem to be able to organize them or arrange them how I see fit. Might you be able to help me? Thank you.

You can't arrange them from the actual boards page or on the mobile app. Here's the step-by-step process:

1. On your computer, open one of your boards.

2. At the very bottom of the board, select the symbol to change boards (it's the first one on the right). This will bring up two lists of boards: "Recent" and "Starred."

3. Drag and drop the boards in the "Starred" section into your preferred order.

@Marcy But see my my comment above, you have to have "All" selected at the top; the drag and drop doesn't work if you have a workspace selected. At least, for me.

This seems to be the inverse to earlier, but whatever.

I went back to see what you were talking about, and I'm sorry to say that I didn't even notice that the first time around! I always have "All" selected, and I hadn't even noticed that upper row of options.

Trello just needs to reintroduce drag-and-drop for all workspaces so that users can arrange them in whatever order they prefer, starred or not.
