Create a List, Movement

I would like to create a list anywhere on the board and not create it as the last list. I don't want to drag it to the very beginning or the middle if I have a lot of lists on the board.

Just double-click somewhere between two lists and an empty new list opens at that position; see the screen below where I double-clicked between "Some card" and "dddd"--not sure double-tap would work in touch-screen device apps.

By the way, if you subsequently single-click anywhere else, the empty list just disappears; if you had already typed something, and you exited before hitting "Add list" and then double-click anywhere again, the unfinished list reopens--but not sure here if that's just browser-based or already persistently added to the table.
