Deadline accidentally marked as done

Hello,

I wanted to include a lock, where we will have the option of having only responsible people marking cards with the deadline completed.

I accidentally marked that the deadline was due and it wasn't the first time it happened, just because I left the mouse on. The difference is that the other times it happened, I had seen it and changed it as needed.

If you already have some kind of lock, can you explain how to do this, please?

Definitely understand this would be impacting on your experience using Trello.

At present, there isn't a way to lock this - there is a feature request to lock the Due date when scrolling through cards in List view to prevent accidental clicks, which sounds like the issue you're facing. I've gone ahead and added your post to this request as feedback.

In Trello Premium, we have the Observer board member permission - https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/adding-observers-to-boards/ - Which would allow you to have people added to boards with 'view only' permissions. Although - I realise this doesn't allow just a lock on the due date aspect, and would prevent editing other aspects of the board.
