I would like to increase loading speed of Trello boards. Does deleting old archived cards (hundreds of them, most have a lot of image, pdf's attachements) could help to do that?
Hi Mantas,
How big are your boards without the archived cards?
If there are many cards (100s ... 1000s), whether with or without noticeable content, I'd chance they are the ones taking up the loading time, or at least that they are an opportunity for a surely useful cleanup - in my experience, with the browser I used, I believe I tried Firefox & Chrome.
Cheers,
Janos
P.S. If you happen to have problems due to being flooded with cards, let me know (but I already feel like spamming when recommending my PC Trello client app :) and it may or may not be your thing anyway - but this was one of the problems I addressed more or less for myself when I set out to make it a thing on its own. It's a quicker one, but doesn't have all the features that Trello offers.
Hi Mantas,
I would be shocked if it didn't but you could do a quickest to confirm it does exactly what you want. I can't name any service where when it has less content it doesn't load faster.
Create a new board, move all the card you want to archive to the board, then try the original board. If it doesn't work then it much easier to restore them. You would just move them back
If this doesn't work you can reach out to support to see if something is up with your instance. But I would be surprised.
Best,
Clark
