Hello! I'm a travel planner and would like to create itineraries for my clients using the boards of Trello. My idea is to create a board for each trip and grant access for the client to its "personal" board/trip itinerary so that they could have all details of their trip in one place, with checklists, links, attachments and everything.
I've been out of Trello for some months and now I created a new account for my new business. But it seems that now to invite someone to access a board you need to pay???? Did I understand well? I used to use Trello in my previous business and all my employees were viewing the boards without paying any extra for it.
Summarizing: Is it possible to grant access to my clients on their "own" board (trip itinerary) for a limited period of time without paying extra for each client?
Hello @Tereza Toscano ,
With our power-up Hipporello, you can let your clients know about their personal trip, and all the details will be in one place. You will have your own user portal, where users can create their accounts and submit their trips, and they will see updates regarding their trips.
Basically, you will be creating a web form (we have pre-defined templates), they will (or you can as well on their behalf) submit their trip via that form, you will get this submission as a Trello card on your board, and you will be able to communicate with that client via that card. They will receive updates to their e-mail and the user portal. Also, you can use Hipporello automation rules to automatically send an email when the card created, or send a resolved email when the card is archived, etc.
This solves your problem, by enabling your external users and customers to create cards on your board externally. That means, you won't need to invite them to your boards, thus you won't need to pay extra.
You can check how it works here in 2 minutes, it is super easy to set up, and if you need any help we will be glad to help you via live chat on our website.
Hope this helps, cheers!

We haven’t changed the way we handle user billing in a few years.
You can add someone directly to ONE board and it won’t charge you for them but if you add them to more than one board they will be a “multi-board guest” and will incur a charge on Business Class.

Hello Michael, I managed to add a client to one board as you said.
What was confusing me previously is that the board was inside a workspace and so it was showing that my billing would be automatically updated if I added new members. But I got it now!
thank you so much, I super excited to start creating all my itineraries on Trello and sharing them with my clients!
Cheers,
Tereza
