Can anyone give me some help?

We are a small agency  with 6 staff, 3 freelancers, 15 clients and about 10 live projects at a time. 

Is Trello suitable for us?

Do you have privacy settings where each client is only able to see their project?

My team is actually made up of former NY and LA digital marketing agency staff. I wanted to weigh in. Trello is a good starting tool, but given the complexity of the work and your need to do pretty sophisticated planning, scheduling, and resource management, you may want to level up to a system built inside of Jira.

Given the complexity of the environment and the need for schedules that you can provide to your clients, Trello might not have enough features for your mid- and long-term needs.

I'd need to know more about your company to assess whether Trello is right for you, but I can tell you that much larger companies have implemented Trello as their project management platform.

As far as privacy is concerned, each board has its own set of access rights. Giving a client access to Project A does not automatically grant him access to Project B.

Hi Connie, that's great that you are interested in Trello! I absolutely love it, it is great for individual use and team collaboration.

You have a few options:

You could use Trello for your 6 staff and 3 freelancers, and have a list for each of your 10 projects. You can use due dates, labels, comments, and keep everything on track and in one board for team collaboration. Here is a link for Trello Teams and common questions.

However if you are going to be enabling your clients to see your work in progress, you may want to set up a separate board for each of your 15 clients so they can not see the work of your other clients. You can read about the types of Trello users, and perhaps you could give your clients observer access (available through Trello Business class).

One thing to ask, do you need to share your work in progress with your clients via Trello or will you provide them with progress in other ways, or will Trello be used as a collaborative tool for your team.

You should create a Trello account for yourself to see how it works, and try out some of the features, and then do a demo from your team to determine if you are going to use the tool, and if so, work together to set up your initial boards and lists.
