Is there a power up that alters custom fields without breaking the drop downs searchability?
Preferably one that does not need to be paid by the user
Currently if you add a drop down and select an option you can just hit "F" and search for it but if you use any of the power ups that I have tired they all are not searchable
You could try Amazing Fields to get the multi-item dropdown, but as you say that doesn't allow you to search it fully. What I have seen people do though is create a hidden custom field and use a formula to set the value of that custom field to the string value of the list of selected values. That is a pretty advanced usecase for Amazing Fields, but it should work pretty well once you get it setup.
basically I had to just accept that search does not work in custom fields and even if we we willing to pay for your power up it does not do what I would like it to do

@Mike Hancoski you're trying to search by custom fields, I don't think i know of any free ones that will let you do that. Blue Cat Reports lets you create lists searching custom fields, but it's not free.

is blue cat reports really only cost 19 a month or does it have some hidden extra fees like per do this thing or per user

@Mike Hancoski i believe they charge per user in boards that you're collecting data on. So if you just use one board with yourself, then its like $4/mo, but if you have 10 different users in boards you're reporting on, it will be $40/mo. You can see more FAQs about their pricing here: https://www.bluecatreports.com/
They also have a free trial
