Has anyone had difficulty with unwanted badges on the Mac desktop app? I have the app downloaded and the desktop notifications turned off in the app and in my system notifications and yet I cannot make the badge go away.

Help!

@Jennifer Depner Howdy and welcome to the Atlassian Community! where the Mac badges are forever...

Kidding. My iMac experienced the same thing. Double-check that you got both the OS and Trello Preferences window here at this link.

If that doesn't work, there's one more thing to try. Watching this one!

@Liz Tanner I got both Trello Preferences and OS Notification settings (both are in pic above).

Your message mentioned there might be a something else to try but I don't see the link. Can you add it again?

Thanks for your help!!

@Jennifer Depner UGH, okay. We may have to go w/ the fix through Mac Terminal--the dreaded command line as our last salvo.

First method to try before we do that is this below:

  1. Open System Preferences: Navigate to System Preferences and go to the Software Update panel.
  2. Customize System Preferences: You can hide specific panels within System Preferences to remove the notification badge.

If that does not work, and you are comfy in the Command Line i.e., Mac Terminal, I'll walk you through the last fix-it. I'm booting up my Mac and walkthrough first--been awhile on the old Apple CLI!
