If you enter the URL inside the Trello card, you'll see the site name instead of the URL.
ex)
https://google.com/ → Google
https://trello.com/ → Trello
I want to display the URL as it is, not the site name.
When I use a code block with markdown, the URL is displayed, but then the hyperlink disappears.
I also tried using markdown on the link, but it didn't show up well.
Do you know how to display the URL as it is instead of the site name?
Hi @伊牟田 幸恵 👋
Welcome to the Community!
There's been a few members raise issues around the smart links so you're not alone in this. I've taken a good look through Trello's available settings and it's documentation but unfortunately there is currently no way to disable this feature.
A number of members are flagging this issue by raising a support ticket in the hopes that this feature can be tweaked. You can raise a support ticket, upload screenshots, description etc here >> https://trello.com/contact#/
If you have any other questions let me know 😃
All the best,
Laura
Thank you for answering!
It's a pity that this feature can't be disabled, but I'm looking forward to the improvements.
I would also like to issue a support ticket for this issue.
all the best.

Use Link Preserver for Trello: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/link-preserver-for-trello/kakifckibanjlglpkbnfdichejplgdap

I have worked around this using @William Holm's solution and then making the text a link, like this:
entering https://maps.google.com will end up like this:
So delete the https:// and you have:
maps.google.com
Which actually does end up as a usable link for me.
But you can force it to a link like this (windows: Ctrl + K):
[maps link](maps.google.com)
And you get this:
Hope that is useful for someone :-)
I just realised this an old thread anyway!

Fingers crossed for a swift resolution:) This broke workflow big time. I found that it will not do this if you clear the https:// prefix.

For me, if I remove the https:// prefix from the URL I am adding to the card, then Trello shows the URL as a link, but the link doesn't work when I click on it.

You can use this bookmarklet to easily switch to links in Trello card descriptions, checklists, and comments. Once you're on the specific card, simply run the bookmarklet, and it will replace Links with URLs.
