Hi. I'm new to Trello and Scrum within Trello. Building web applications, and the team are using Trello. Is there a "Must-Have" layout/information on a Trello card? What labels are the most effective to use for software development? Our Trello board is jam-packed. What are the max lists one should have to make the process simple?
Hi @Garth Bond ! Welcome to the community :) I'd recommend starting out by browsing through Trello's templates if you haven't already. Here are a couple of good ones:

You can find all dev-related templates here.
If you're looking for more info on card contents, this blog post has a lot of good information around task templates (look under "3 templates for software teams").
This article is a bit out of date now (maybe I should write an updated version for Trello? If anyone from the marketing team reads this and wants that reach out!)

It might help with some ideas on how to get started :)
