We have a board where we would like to grant access to users to certain cards/lists, but there are some cards with a lot of information that we do not want them to be able to mess with (ie the description is very detailed) and it would be awful if someone were able delete all of that info on accident.
Hi Jessica, great question! You can make boards read only based on the type of user permissions you assign, however I am not aware of an option to turn a specific card read only. Here is a link to board permissions:

Hi @Jessica Potting has this been resolved for you? Thanks!

Hi Jessica,
Have you seen https://blog.trello.com/related-cards-related-boards
This blog article describes how you can attach a card to another card. In you case, you'd need to have two boards: one private with all the information other users should not mess with, and one for the other users. You could then create a card in the other user's board and attach a card from the private board.
