Is this some kind of error or is it supposed to be like that?

I use the free version of trello, so I have 10 slots available. I've used 8, so why is it exceeding the limit if there aren't even 10 in use?

Welcome to the community! Let's clarify who a collaborator is in your Workspace

A collaborator is anyone who’s been invited to a board in your Workspace or the Workspace itself. This includes:

• Workspace members

• Workspace guests (board members who aren’t members of your Workspace. This includes single-board guests and multi-board guests)

• Pending board and Workspace invite

The screenshot shows only the Workspace members. To see how many collaborators are in your Workspace, navigate to the Members page. You'll find the number of collaborators listed in the sidebar. For more detailed information, please refer Collaborator limit for free Workspaces
