Issue with Trello Web & Mobile app synchronization

Hello Trello Team,

Thank you so much for your work on this wonderful Task Manager!

For a very long time, I encounter a problem with task synchronization:

How I work:

  • I keep Trello opened all the time in my WEB browser (in a tab) on the laptop, and as an app on iPhone and iPad. Of course, I use other apps on mobile so Trello goes to the background and foreground all the time, however, I never close the app completely.

Problem:

  • Sometimes when I archive a task on the laptop (in WEB browser) and then open the Trello app on iPhone — the task is still on the list. When I click on it I see:

This behavior happens most of the time and is really annoying. I know that if I "kill" the app and relaunch it — it will update, but doing so every time is inefficient. However, sometimes it works and updates as needed.

 

What I've tried:

I've tried reinstalling the app and tried using different devices.

My "Background App Refresh" Setting is turned ON.

 

If you could look into it and fix this, that would be so much appreciated 👐

Something is wrong with iOS app. Today I added few cards but they were not syncing. Tried to manually sync them but nothing was happening. Reinstalled the app and now I cannot even login, I just get error:

"

:(

Sonething's gone wrong trying to log in. Make sure to log in with Google or SSO if that's how your account is set up.

"

I am not even sure what SSO is, I made my account with regular email credentials.

 

So all in all, I guess it's something on Trello's part, we just have to wait for them to fix it.

 

If devs are reading this: I use iPhone 13, iOS 18.0.1, Trello app updated to latest version.

I have to add that the sync problems I'm talking about last for years, not past days.

I also encountered sync issue on user right.

On App version, I am admin user, but on web version, I am not.

I log out and log in several times, but, I remain normal user instead of Admin.

 

On Web version, there are 11 members. (I use free version with 10 members), but on app version, there are 10 members.   We removed 1 member out of 10 members and add another member.  Total members are 10.

But, on web version, it is 11, and I see sign of premium version.

On top of web version, it says as below.

The Premium free trial for T_P_OXXX ends in 14 days.
