Leave a Board

I have been added to a public board.  I didn't request to be added, but ok it happens.

I am unable to "leave the board' as there is no option showing.  I am not subscribed to watch it either, so I cannot simply unwatch.  It is frustrating that it shows up on my 'boards list' but also it clearly is a meant to be personal board between two parents about their children's education, so I don't want to be part of it.  I have no way of emailing the person to let them know 

Help please.

@Tracy is it just showing up in your list of recent boards? If so, it'll be gone soon, if you're not a member of a board and you're not a member of a team a board belongs to, it won't show up anywhere else

Yes, it is only in recently viewed. Thank you for your answer, it has given me hope that someone added me by mistake and it'll go away by itself.

I did wonder why it didn't show on my phone app version. So it also makes sense now too.

I had already viewed this - but I cannot use the LEAVE the group option (see my question) and this link sadly suggests using that method.

So one thing I could think of is that the board might be closed. If that was the situation you can refer the below link :

https://trello.com/support/leave-closed-board

or someone added you as admin or the admin left, and you weren't aware... so if you are the admin of the Trello board also you might not be able to leave the board

can Trello intervene?  as this has board info on someone else's children and I have no idea who they are.
