My 'Watching' button ticks itself when I have removed myself from watching a card

When I have created a card, the system seems to change every card back to me 'Watching' them. I do not need to watch all of our cards. 

I remove this tick but it seems to retick it for me but then I get every notifications!

Please check if you are either watching the whole board, or a list containing those cards you have stop watching. Here's how to check if you are watching a card, list or a board as a whole:

For the board, click the eye icon to 'Stop watching'. For the list, click on the top three dots next to the list name to unselect the Watch option. Let me know how you go with it!

There is also this option that lets you watch a card while commenting. If you don't want to Watch a card after commenting, just uncheck the box, and you won't automatically Watch it. This preference is sticky too, so once you uncheck the box once, you won't need to check it again in the future:
