What can i do to ho back to the old trello? this new update is terrible and i can't work like that!
I can't even see all the boards, the new format is very bad and it's FREEZING A LOT!
Please, go back to the old one!
Absolutely agree with Alexander on this one to the point that I activated my forum account just to post that the new card layouts feel terrible for workflow. "They are no longer "Trello cards" but "Trello pamphlets"" couldn't not describe it any better. I now have to open a menu to access the things I used to directly from the card (such as moving the card) and comments/activities just make it feel like a bloated screen instead of a streamlined slim card that I could follow along easily from top to bottom. I'm extremely doubtful any kind of reverting will occur, and I'm sure our comments will be seen by development as "minority," but I've not yet talked to anyone who likes the new layout.
It's really awful. They are no longer "Trello cards" but "Trello pamphlets"
Who thought this was a good idea? Why did this happen?
Now I have the card and its comments side by side - I can't just focus on the card in the middle of the screen or the comments in the middle of the screen, they're awkwardly split up and the comments are smaller now.
Why not make this a simple toggle on/off option?

I agree completely. The new interface is completely awful. We need bigger cards not smaller and the (now) tiny comments in a scrollable section off on the right is deplorable.

My colleague was "upgraded" to the new trello experience last week, and was already complaining about it. The main issue is the very poor performance.
Today, trello appeared in the new design for the first time on my PC. Performance is indeed very poor. Search doesn't seem to work at all.
Very disappointing indeed :-(

Hi There!
I'm sorry you're disappointed with the new Trello experience! This new Trello design has been generally available for all users from May 21, 2025, for all users and and is now part of the permanent interface. Updates are currently being rolled out to users on Free, Standard, and Premium plans until the end of July.
Can you please share more about the issues you've seen in this new format? We would appreciate feedback to help us identify what can be enhanced to provide a better customer experience.
The boards can be accessed through the " Switch Boards" tab, by pressing "b" or clicking on the bottom bar:
Regarding the freezing, please let me know if you face this issue on multiple browsers/devices. If so, which browsers?

I have to agree.. the updates are absolutely horrible!
- The bottom bar (gets in the way of the scroll bar, takes up space on bottom of page, saves no time whatsoever, what's the red circle with line thru it when you mouse-over the 'Board' icon? is just all plain annoying)
- Clicking on a card (the new layout sucks, what's with the split screen? it helps nothing)

I have to agree as well, I hated this new version, I wish I could get back to the old version, it's just sad to see that this is going to be permanent, the board is messi this bottom bar is horrible and doesn't help, it just make the members of the board more confuse about what to do on the board, the cards are split in the middle wich makes terrible the visibility of the activities in the card as well. and valuable information that before was previously available aside of the card is now hidden just to allow the comments to be aside in the card, why?? it doesn't make any sense to me. None of my user friends likes it either. Again, it's just sad that this is going to be permanent.

I completely agree - it's appalling and unusable. It's really hard to navigate, so confusing, cluttered with unnecessary information, I've lost all my filters in the upgrade. I'm now searching for an alternative as this is not fit for purpose.
