Hello,
I’m using Trello on Windows. Recently, I noticed that the covers on my archived cards are no longer visible in the archive list. They used to appear before.
However, when I open a card and then go back to the archive, the cover suddenly reappears. This seems like a display issue or a bug.
Could you please help me understand why this is happening and how I can fix it?
Thank you!
Hi @Four , Welcome to the community!
Can you confirm whether the covers for all the cards do not appear in the archived card section, or is it just for some of the cards?
Are you using the Trello desktop app? Does the same issue persist in a different browser? Can you check if, after opening a card in archived items and then closing it, the cover appears for that card?
I am running some tests on my end as well, but I look forward to receiving further information from your side.
Thank you!
Hello!
There are previews of the most recent cards, yet they disapper if I refresh the page.
No, it is more convinient for me to use browser version and yeah, the same issue appears on another browsers like Microsoft Edge or Yandex (I use Chrome currently).
Exactly, after opening a card in archive and then closing it, the cover appears for that card. There are about 400-500 cards on archive which makes it really exhausting to open and close each one to access previews, so if there is some way to fix this issue that would be great!

Hi @Four
I have run a couple of tests, and I cannot replicate the same issue. Can you confirm if it's happening on one board or if the issue persists on multiple boards? As you mentioned, you have 500-600 archived cards, so it would be a big board, but can you run a test on other boards as well to see if the issue persists?
Thank you

Hi,
I created another desk, created a card and put a photo. Preview appeared on the desk and when I archived the card and refreshed the page, exactly the same issue appeared, no cover(

Hi @Four , Thank you for testing.
Could you please check the size of the image you are trying to upload as a cover? Additionally, could you share the link to the board where you tested it? It would also be helpful to know if that board has fewer archived cards.
Regards,
Trello Team

Hello,
the size of one image is about 10KB and another one is about 30KB.
Here is the link of the board for tests

Also I would like to mention that we use our main board on 2 computers and there is the same problem on second computer.
Thank you!

Hi @Four ,
I see our latest response. Are you not able to access Trello without a VPN? If yes, could you let me know if the issue is specific to Trello or if you’re unable to access any other Atlassian products (e.g., id.atlassian.com)?
Could you try switching your connection and let me know if the issue persists? Can you share a screenshot of the error message that you are receiving?
Thank you!

Hello,
That is right. If I do not turn on VPN, Trello page looks like on screenshot.
Yet, other products of Atlassian work fine, for example JIRA.
Please help me to tackle that issue as soon as possible, due to Trello plays a crucial role in our business🥹
Thank you!

Hello,
Thank you for help on that, it is working now as it used to. The only problem left is archived cards with no previews. Hope to find a solution in a short time, I will be waiting for news.
Thank you!

Hey,
I'm glad to hear you can access Trello without any issues now, so I'll close that ticket.
Regarding the archived card issue, I ran a few more tests and can replicate the problem on my side. I've opened a bug report for it, which you can find here.
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-1340
As of right now, I don't have an ETA on when this fix will be released, as it depends on various factors such as the team’s backlog and the complexity of the bug itself. That being said, with the link I sent above, you should be able to watch this issue by clicking on *Start watching this issue*.
For further information about how we track and fix our bugs, you can review the Atlassian Cloud Bug Fix Policy :https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/atlassian-cloud-bug-fix-policy-206865884.html
