Hi, I have a question.

Is there a tool or module, which can convert costumer mails that I receive automatically into Trello tickets?

Would be amazing if you could help me out.

Hi @Oskar Blum ,

 

Toni founder of Crmble, a CRM for Trello. In your case you would not need only to create a card but also a Contact in your CRM . This way you will be able to track if the Contact requested for something more than once or if it is a new Contact indeed. Morevoer it will let you see all the impacts that you have generated to an specific Contact.

 

Your workflow should parse the email in your inbox(maybe adding a Label like CRM with a rule) when is new, and then an API call step to your CRM contact data base, to check if exists already on your database. Then 2 results will be possible:

1. If the contact doesn't exist-> Create a new Contact and New card/deal in Trello.

2. If already exist-> Create a Deal linked to the Contact or give you and alert about a Contact that requested something twice to a card/Deal already created.

 

P.D.: Are those new Customer emails coming from a survey? If that is the case I would suggest to connect that directly with Trello and your CRM.

There is an upcoming feature in Trello called “Inbox” to be GA some time this month that will convert email to a card. You need only to drag the email into the board to make it a regular card. The above make it unnecessarily to have the sender use the current email-to-board address mentioned I think by an earlier respondent. 
In reality, most cases, you need to filter your email before you asked for a card to be created or to extract useful details to create a card. 
You can use Zapier, make or n8n to parser/filter emails. Emails with predefined formats are obviously easier to handle.

@Oskar Blum 

Since I mentioned about the new Inbox. I decided to try to see if I can process it further eg get the email of the sender and add it to my CRM. I used ChatGPT to look into the forwarded email summarise it, get the fname and lname to create contact in CRM and have the contact set up on that specific card. 

The automation is on my Prospecting list and only if it is a card created by the new Trello Inbox feature
