I have been using Trello since 2018 and have built software around using a board as a backend database.
Instead of the png I am expecting, I am getting webp garbage. I cannot use webp in my image editing software, nor is it acceptable to upload or embed. Why has trello changed to using this trash format? This change has broken my workflow and while I understand the "... > download" workaround, it is no good for my system, requiring drastic rework. Please allow users to opt into 'preserve format' modes.
@Sam Binder this isn't happening for me - if i upload a png when i download again it's a png. Do you have any chrome extensions or power-ups that could be conflicting with it somehow?
If not, I'd reach out to support and ask if there's a bug or something: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/
I'm using vanilla for both; they have said it is not a bug https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello-questions/File-upload-and-download-issue/qaq-p/2856219#M101375
