Couldn't find this in the docs, no specific ticket on the Jira JAC, and the bot said:

I couldn't find any information in the available Atlassian resources about how to assign a member to an inbox card in Trello

But then I thought: shortcut obvs! and that worked.

But honestly, this inbox/planner thing.

Before the issue is raised that "Trello is keyboard driven now"--our team don't assign much, if I do, it's usually from within the card I'm in already, and I tend to use the + icon, so it just slipped my mind.

Also, for obvious reasons, in an Inbox card, the + does not include a Members option (because it's a space wide personal feature) but I was looking for a way to find the item on my Home page. Inbox items really ought to appear there too imo...

By the way, why isn't the entire switcher/nav bar in the one place it should be yet, ie. the Home page?

Hi Nils,

You’re right — Inbox cards work a little differently since they’re tied to the Planner personal view rather than a shared board, which is why the usual + Members option isn’t available there. At the moment, assigning members directly to Inbox cards isn’t supported the way it is for board cards.

Using the keyboard shortcut is indeed the only workaround right now, and I agree it would be very useful if Inbox items showed up on the Home page (and had consistent assignment options). I’d recommend sharing this in the Product Ideas portal so the Trello team can track it, since it touches on both Planner usability and navigation consistency.

Thanks for raising this — it highlights a gap that would improve the Planner experience for a lot of teams.

Great, thanks.

Where is that Product Ideas portal?
If it's the Jira JAC I can only read there it seems, not write--and that seems sensible.
Can't find anything else except the megaphone on the Trello pages?
