Can the new Complete buttons be removed from cards in all views?

Jim Eichner May 19, 2025

I know you can remove the buttons from the cards as seen in the individual boards*, but that does not carry over into the workspace (all boards) calendar view. Is there a way to disable the buttons entirely, for those who don't want to use them?

I want to do this for 2 reasons:

- I click on them accidentally from time to time, and

- they reduce the space available for the title of each card, so fewer cards fit in a give day in the calendar

Also at the same time the buttons appeared, cards stopped having spaces between them in the workspace calendar view, and it gets hard to read.

Thanks,

Jim

*In the board view, go to settings and uncheck "Show complete status on cards front".

Hey, JIm

Welcome to the community

If you disable the "Mark Complete" option on all boards, the change should also be reflected in the calendar view. I tested this on my test account, and it worked as expected.

Can you disable the option on all of your boards?

Thanks Alisson.  I tried that, but after turning it off for all my boards, it did not remove the complete buttons from the Workspace view.  I've refreshed a couple of times, and logged out and back in, but they are still there.

It's not the Calendar view for a single board: it's the Workspace calendar view that shows me all active cards across all my boards.

Thanks,

Jim
