Can you have a cumulative sum automation?

I have 2 custom fields, Step 1 Actual Hours (Daily) and another field called Actual Hour for Step 1.

When I type something in Step 1 Actual Hours (Daily), I want this number to go in to Actual Hour for Step 1 field. Then the next day if I input another number in Step 1 Actual Hours (Daily) then I want it to add it to Actual Hour for Step 1.

So if I input 3 then Actual Hour for Step 1 should say 3, then the next day if I input 5 then Actual Hour should be 8 (3+5) etc.

This should do it:

when custom field "Step 1 Actual Hours (Daily)" is set, set the custom field "Step 1 Actual Hours" to "{{%Step 1 Actual Hours}} + {customfieldvalue}"
